You might also check out Erik Moore's *excellent* article on VFP7 for MSDN Magazine -- I believe it explains how to register and consume a Web service that exists anywhere on the Web, complete with VFP code to make it work. It's only about a page long near the end of the article, but it should get you started at least.

The problem I have with white papers out on MSFT sites is that they do tend to be broad and only show what they what. I like the the UT has with the API's, as people figured them out in VFP, they can be listed with example code and uses.
