This is where I got my information. Hope this helps. Its so simple, comparied to using createobject() and having to worry if the client has outlook installed, an configured and so on...

for a slightly better way, which is almost as simple you could use blat.dll

its a little tricky, but it does handle html type files, as well as attachments.

I have a very rough class on my server and blat.dll posted. I use it for sending emails in a few applications. its one step better than the mailto.
