Woke up this morning, had had a thought.. (how many times does that happen ?)

I am missing the / Linux / GNOME GUI. While I do have telnet access to my server, its just not the that wonderful GUI.

My cobalt Qube , I cant attach a monitor to. But I do have this laptop, currenly running Windoz 2000 . Got me to rethink about how I could use that.

VMWare Win4linux , winLinux2000

My reason is simple, I want to keep Winows on my laptop, (I do some VFP work from that when I travel,) but at home, I would love to work with Linux on my laptop.

So I need both - Forcing myself to become fluent in both.


My reason for posting this morning, is simple.

Does anyone have experience with any of these of these three solutions ? any recommendations ?


I am leaning towards VMWare- Where two actual OS reside running at the same time,...


Any Comments ?
