The Browse command stores it's settings, like column order/size and so on, in the foxuser.dbf. Looks like this info got corrupted for the Browse of this table and VFP just recreated it using some defaults.

I got the same message once, I don't remember where. Looks like something is missing in the help file or the reference is incorrect.
