Sorry to tell you this but MAPI can't handle HTML. Due to the generic nature of MAPI, it is designed to work with a multitude of clients and therefore is just a simple mail system.

If you want to send HTML, I believe Rick's IP stuff will work - it uses SMTP instead of MAPI. It should be somewhere in the download section (or at least some link to his site - I can't remember the address).
