>So if I am understanding you correctly, I can place the checkbox in the field in my gird and then bind it through the control source property of the checkbox to the logical field in my table.

Practical steps:
- in form editor, select your grid
- on the form tools toolbar, click on checkbox
- click on your column in the grid, where the logical field is
- open up the properties window, and find this column; you'll find it has two controls: Text1 and Check1. Select Text1
- click on the caption of the form editing window (so the text1 is still selected, make sure you don't change the selection)
- press Delete
- go back to the properties window and check controls in your column; you should have only Check1. The column's .currentcontrol should be "Check1" now.
- save and run the form.
