I think I will forget about SORTing the table. You are correct, the physical order of the table does not really matter. I was only doing it for my own benefit for when and if I ever BROWSEd the table in the command window I would not have to type two commands to see the table in the order that I wanted to see it in.

Although your answer and Mark's answer would both solve my problem, I have decided to take the SORT outta there and keep it simple. And it saves execution time too. THANKS! I appreciate it anyway.
