John,

Things can also mysteriously disappear because of network (internet) or hardware failure. Sometimes restores from backups will lose changes. Specific deletion of topics because someone didn't like them is not the only possible explanation here.

I personally have deleted topics and moved their content to a different name or combined it with another page. I have not done any of that recently though.

I have moved your OpenWiki topic to the Wiki namespace. I do not see FreeWikis or TheWikiWay. If you have just reposted them, something really mysterious is going on.

>No veiled innuendo here. I posted several topics including FreeWikis and TheWikiWay. In the FreeWikis page, I posted a link to OpenWiki. Within 24 hours, those topics were gone. TheWikiWay had info on Ward Cunningham's new book - which also included a free wiki. There is at least 1 person I know of who can verify the topics were there.

>Steve, I have no reason to make this up. In looking at the docs on how to use the Wiki, I did find the #DELETE macro which does delete topics. Therefore, the capability is widespread as far as deletion is concerned.

>>>I posted these items on the wiki yesterday and they mysteriously disappeared? I figured that would have been the better place since those who visit the wiki would be more inclined to use a personal wiki. I guess the limits of what one can post on the Fox wiki are a bit more narrow than I orignally had thought...< s >... FWIW, the openwiki has about a 10th. of the features the Fox wiki has. At the same time, openwiki has more features than Ward's wiki at http://c2.com/cgi/wiki. Simply put, it was not my intention to offend anybody. Rather, I was simply letting the community know about a resource that is available to all..
>>>
>>>I have since re-posted the items to the wiki. Let's see if these posts manage to survive.....
