>Is there a way to get a controls hierarchy at design time? I see the SYS(1272) but it's only good at runtime. I can select a group of controls and get there names with ASELOBJ but I'm not sure how to get the hierarchy ie. form name, pageframe..... TIA

Rightclick the place in the method code where you need it, and select "object list". Find your object and click it. It will paste the correct hierarchy for your object relative to the location of code, using either thisform.drill.down.as.far.as.it.takes, or this.parent.parent.grandparent.familyfounder.uncle.object syntax. If you're at the form level, it will just drill down, of course.
