How's it going living on Taos Time? I think there were some problems with the row buffering in VFP5 (hah- "It's not a bug, it's a feature!"), and they 'fixed' it in 6/7.

You're probably going to have to go the wrapper route and use AERROR() with a CASE to trap for the problems after a TABLEUPDATE, or you could just use AERROR, and throw your own error to force the existing error method to fire, with something like ERROR aErrArray[1].
