My client did key in chinese words into my application. It just work fine. Of course, it need to be run on that particular language of OS or have some software such as njstar to convert the funny character to chinese words.
Again, my client use chinese words for searching.. i just work ok ... no coding modification needed ... however, since this is double bytes characters, so.. beware of field length of your table. Take a look on CODEPAGE...
