Recently we upgraded from VFP 5 to 6 and recompiled our apps. But since then the users are reporting us a series of problems and error messages that had never appeared before. In some cases they click on a menu option but the form that is supposed to open does not appear (like doing nothing). To solve this one of my coworkers opened the form source and got an error message; there she found that the form had a grid which columns were bound to various cursor fields but the cursor was being created on the Load event. This had been working fine under VFP 5.
In general it's like under VFP 5 some syntax errors were not being reported on runtime but under version 6 they are.
