John, agree with you. Is the same story every time.

I have a friend (an IT manager) who works in a bank and ... 4 years ago they were said by an external consultant that VFP dev. will be finished in a short term. They moved to Delphi & Oracle due to some "political" reasons he argued.

I telled him, that as an independient consultant (in that times), can write a document saying that VFP will not finish, if you like in later times to show this paper to your management. And I didn't get wrong, VFP is still with new developments in the horizon (Toledo, ...)

I'm really bored for hearing the same afirmattion that Gartner does.

But I will like to know why, Why all this people says the same? once time and another. I din't know ... maybe they see VFP as a great competitor.
