The world has noticed an increase in terrorism over the last few decades and people and nations have attempted to address this on a local and limited basis. There has existed up until now an attitude that each nation should take care of its own problems. With the recent activity and events on the East Coast of the United States, the realization that this policy does not work, a coalition of nations has formed to attempt to eradicate terrorism around the world. This will take a great deal of effort and years to accomplish.

Will the attempt to completely eliminate terrorism around the world work? Of course not! However, terrorism will still be allowed to exist but members of such groups will undoubtedly be smaller in number, have less money, limited training and have smaller objectives. It is impossible to understand the mind of the individual and if one wishes to be a terrorist in all likelihood you will be unaware of his/her plans.

Supplying terrorists the tools of mass destruction will have dire consequences upon the worlds societies. The nations of the world have to unite to limit terrorism.

What has the Taliban and Osama bin Laden done to assist the plight of the Afghan people since they have controlled Afghanistan? How many people have they killed? Should we allow them to continue killing others? You could be next!

The goal of Osama bin Laden is to kill all Americans and destroy our society. You may be in total agreement with his goals – that is your decision. Others who wish to live would prefer elimination of this threat. Resolution of this problem will be painful and to take no action would be a drastic mistake. Just think of those individuals of the world who are against any sort of retaliatory action being taken. If the terrorists are stopped such individuals will still be able to have such thoughts. If we are unable to stop the terrorists no one is safe.
