Is the McAfee program a LAN version, or personal? If it's personal, you should upgrade, or switch to another similar product.

Do you have a config.fpw? If so, where does it direct the temp files? If not, if you add a config.fpw on the users machine and set the TMPFILES (etc.) locations, does that improve performance?
