I'm not exactly sure how to find out if the server is using a firewall and if it is how to determine what software it is using. I do know that the server assigns the same ip address' to all the workstations in the office so I know that the IP on my workstation will be the same tomorrow as it is today. We use a Novell server on a Compaq Prosignia 200. I can ping the server at work when I am at home but can't ping my workstation or any others in the office.

In the case of the firewall, you have to adjust the address transforms to use the original client's IP address instead of the firewall gateway. In the case of NAT I am afraid I cannot help as I have never used it before. However the prinicipal should be the same. If you are using firewall software, what software are you running?
