Ok, maybe its a versioning thing. I have Crystal Reports 7. What it refers to as column layout is the traditional reporting style of columns from a table. What I am trying to accomplish is Word-style columns - descending the left side, then wrapping to the top right and down again.

I notice that Crystal 8 is available, but it was unclear if this kind of layout was possible. Since you are obviously more acquainted with the environment, I would trust your experience more than the web-site propaganda anyway...

Thoughts?

>>The initial requirement is for nested reporting - i.e. two independent reporting formats which may reside *on the same page*. Crystal seems to let us do the nested reports, but forces the second one to go to a new page. The first format is tabular-oriented data, with some summary information, the second is twin columns. Bit hard to explain without the visuals. Its similar to some of the utility-type bills we get here.

>Nope you can put them both on the same page. I've had reports with as many as 6 independent reports on the same page. Put each report in a different section on the detail band.
