>>>If you're looking for a way to remotely monitor a Web server and be notified if it's down or otherwise unavailable, take a look at the West Wind Web Monitor (http://www.west-wind.com/Webmonitor.asp). It goes beyond just pinging a site or checking for just any response, and allows you to search for a specific string in the response to be sure a valid page is being returned. It's a nice little program and works great, like all of Rick Strahl's stuff.

>>Thanks Rick, but it´s not that. I need to extract information from queries made using some parameters that are stored in DBF files.

>BTW - would you be interested in sharing some information about Rio? I used to live there, but a long time ago. For one thing, it would be interesting to know if the place I lived is still there. If you want to, send me a private message.

I´ll give you an example. Imagine that I have a database with FedEx Tracking numbers to track. I need to navigate to FedEx page, fill some form´s fields and click on some buttons, right? I know how to automate this process via OLE Automation with IE, but I need to know if FedEx database server is down to trap this kind of error. I mean, when I navigate to a certain page I need to know if this page was downloaded. ReadyState property doesn´t work for me.
