Yep - I'm looking forward to seeing how fast I can surf in the back yard, or across the road in the park.

The MR-314 (and the RT-314) is not a true firewall. It does use NAT, but it doesn't do stateful packet inspection. It does do some content filtering based on keywords or specified sites. The FR314 and the RO318 are both true firewalls, but neither of them have wireless. If you really want a firewall and wireless You could add a wareless gateway somewhere on the network (eg the ME-102 or the MA-101).

All the configuration is via quite a usable browser interface from the first PC you set up. The router has a built in web server (as well as a telnet server) for configuration.

Logs can be emailed to you.

>If all the firewall stuff is on the box then how do I maintain it? is there some kind of software? where do the firewall logs go?
>Does it do NAT (I think that's what I'm after.. to get 2 pc's on the internet via 1 IP address)

Any wirless card should be OK as long as it's 802.11. The netgear card (MA401) should be OK, but plenty of others should work too.

>Then for the wireless bit.. can I buy any wireless card? or should I stick with a particular brand/standard?

Cheers,

Andrew

If we were to introduce Visual FoxBase+, would we be able to work from the dotNet Prompt?
