While I certainly agree with you, they (Gartner) may be using the same (apparent, and flawed) reasoning that appears to be applied to the VFP BUG List - publicizing it would reduce the credibility of the product.

In the case of Gartner it would be an admission that they were wrong! While credibility is no doubt critical to a Gartner-type entity, I don't accept that too many people would be upset if they (Gartner) admitted that their crystal ball sometimes has a few cloudy spots in it. Doesn't it stretch their crddibility too far to promote that in the business of predictions they are NEVER wrong?!?!?!?
