I completely agree... sounds like the consulting company is trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. They just know one technology and recommend it because of their ignorance of other options.

I compare it to my wife taking her van to get an oil-change - amazingly, the shop tells her everytime that every other service they can perform is needed on her van.
