Another good idea, Sergey.

Now we will have 2 lists that are "black holes" - a UT Wish List for Toledo (VFP.next) and the Help file Errata list. Black holes because things go in but nothing ever comes out.

We might as well go for 3 and add a VFP7 BUG List too! I find this particularly troublesome because there have been over 30 different bugs reported since VFP7 hit the streets yet not a single one of them has yet appeared in the "Microsoft Support Knowledge Base" - at least when using "kbvfp700" as the search argument. Several have been "bugged" by MS personnel here. And this does not include bugs reported elsewhere, either directly or through other VFP sites!

Getting back to your suggestion directly. . .

I think it would be good, regardless of my comments above. And I would hope that it, too, would have additional 'descriptors' as has been done with the Toledo List, to let us (writer and reader alike) specify/know WHICH PART OF THE DOCUMENTATION is being reported.

I have reported at least 10 problems directly to MS regarding only the 'Command Reference' portion of the documentation. We should have a selection list for the "area" of the Help (like "Command Reference", "Developer's Reference" etc.) as well as 'section' or 'chapter' IDs.

Jim

>There were a few discussins on UT that mentioned incorect or incomplete topics in VFP help. I think it would be nice to have separate List for reporting VFP help file errata.
