I guess that my point was not clear.

This was talking about VFP 'representation' at non-VFP conferences where VFP has at least indirect relevance. Not funding yet another VFP conference.

The cost of having a session or two at the most, even if they went totally empty, might well be very worthwhile only for the additional exposure to a very wide audience of non-VFP folks, simply to let them see for themselves that VFP is still a MS product under continued development. Especially if a frrebie box or two were offered as prizes of some kind.
Looks like cheap yet effective promotion to me.

Also, Nick N. related a story about some managers in his city tewnding to drop VFP because they saw not a mention of it at some (TechEd, I think) conference. Makes my point precisely, I think!

This just to add ideas to your arsenal. You're getting it done and that truly is appreciated.
