Jim;

Just thinking out loud from comments given by Ken Levy and others. What we need is a good series of white papers to define the use of VFP and how to use it as a development tool. Training is another issue. I am fortunate as I “grew up” through the dBaseII ranks to the present product. Whenever possible I took classes from many sources available and it costs money. $2000 for four to five days is a common amount.

It takes a lot of training to learn VFP. You can do it if someone points you in the right direction or you are motivated to do so. Trying to establish a path for others is something we can all contribute towards.

Once you “know something” you do not often think about how you gained your knowledge. You add to your knowledge through experience. There are so many ways we could approach this topic. Seems like we should do so in an orderly manner as we could only confuse a new comer with 1000 white papers on the same topic, each taking a different perspective. Now where to begin?
