>>Your comment “Jesus is/was a God” is not accurate – he is the Son of God. There is one God. Now that is what I get for going to Catholic school! Just watch someone else jump in and give a different theological opinion. :)

Tamar;
You have used the terms I use, which changed December 1964. Today they use “the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, to give title to the Blessed Trinity, which is the central doctrine of the Catholic religion. I was an altar boy and all prayers and Masses were said in Latin until that date. By the way I found Latin and Greek (required languages at the time I attended school) to be very helpful in college and in my engineering career.
Also, we were required to say prayers at the University of San Francisco (a Catholic college) before each class. I do not know if that is still done or not.
In the back of my edition of the Catholic Bible, is a definition of the Trinity. It goes on for pages and pages in an attempt to define it. It is very laborious to read this document. Then suddenly the author ends with, “Never the less, it is beyond the ability of created intelligence to comprehend the Trinity”. End of subject! That statement still makes me laugh. After spending so much time and effort to read the small print I was left with the notation that no one living understands the Trinity. Another act of faith. You either believe or you do not. Why the author attempted to define it is beyond me! Just give the usual message, "Have faith my son, this too shall pass"! It works every time! :)
