>>About 45-50 miles northwest on I-75. We're in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains. It's funny, but there are a few people on the UT from around the Atlanta area, but the only one I've ever met is Dave Stevenson. I chalk that up to the murderous traffic in Atlanta. For example, when you're not stopped dead in traffic, on I-285, people think that the "285" part is the speed limit.< bg >

George;
When I was stationed at Orlando Air Force Base Florida, we received a class given by a Florida State Trooper, about driving in the state of Florida. The officer told a story about a lady driving on Hiway 50, where the speed limit was 25 miles per hour. She was stopped doing 50 miles per hour. The officer asked, “Do you know how fast you were going”, to which the lady answered, “Why yes, officer, 50 miles per hour, just like the sign said”! The officer pointed out that was the hiway number and the speed limit was 25 miles per hour. The officer than conclude the discussion with,”Lady, what were you going to do when you got to hiway 440”?
