Garrett;
I had a copy of VFP 3.0 Beta, and built three frameworks before I was "satisfied". By then, VFP 3.0 had been released and CodeBook 3.0 had just hit the book shelves. Working in a vacuum can be so much fun! My conclusion was it was too time consuming to create and maintain your own framework. I went on to VFE and Visual Max Frame Professional and am glad I did. Otherwise I think I would still be trying to “tweak” my own framework to be “just a little bit better” and would have had no billable time since July 1995.
Now that alone says something about the value of commercial frameworks! :)
