>>>Have you tried, the internet options either in the control panel or under IE tools - internet options. under programs you select your - associated email program which is associated with IE... or the mailto: link.
>>>
>>> But I do recall there was in the control palnel somplace, an email option which selected the system wide default email program, but on my windows 2000 I cant seem to find it,
>>>
>>>In outlook express however, you can go to. tools - options and select weather or not outlook express is the default email application on the machine.
>>>I am sure there is a setting like that in Outlook... Sorry I would check but I dont load outlook on my laptop.
>>
>>Funny that I couldn't find such a setting anywhere in Netscape (which I want to be my default mailer). In Internet Options, which are actually "Internet Explorer Options", it gives me a choice of four mailers - Eudora, Hotmail, Outlook and Outlook express. Three out of these are uninstalled, and one was never in use (it only keeps my archives). Well, manual forever it will be.

You can do a search at support.novell.com for "browser default mail program" and the "Cool Solutions" article on how to do it comes up, along with the program.
