The number of VFP developers who either upgrade to VFP 7.0 or upgrade to MSDN subscriptions is a key element of measuring the VFP7 product and the marketing efforts, just like VS .NET will be measured. There is nothing in my message that implies anything specific about the next version of VFP or any version of VFP after that based on any specific measurements. Obviously if nobody used VFP anymore, there would be no need to create any new versions of VFP. But that is just not the case. Microsoft is committed to evolving VFP, the Fox team is very enthused about the release of VFP 7.0 and the already started efforts in creating the next great verison of VFP.
