>> Therefore, John, all of your postings that hinge on "Unless enough people upgrade to 7, version 8 is a moot point" are incorrect. Note that I said "that hinge on." You may have posted something that is supported by many points, and still stands when you negate the one being discussed. So given Ken's statement, you may just want to post a revised version. Or you may just want to let it go. I don't really care what you do, I just want to make sure Joe UT reader is aware of the soundness of your current statements. <<

Your conclusion is 100% correct. This rumor and posting completely false, Microsoft has never said nor implied this. The next version of VFP is currently being developed and its release has no dependency of the sales/upgrades of VFP 7.0. For the record, the next version of VFP is being developed and will be a reality, and there are no talks or even consideration that it is the last version of VFP, be clear about that. I'm re-stating myself a few times on this thread because of the very point you make, it is really important that people reading this thread know the facts and Microsoft's position and strategy of VFP regardless of what non-Microsoft representatives here on the UT think or say. Microsoft is committed to the future and evolution of VFP, and I am personality excited about the Fox team plans, and you will be too. Thanks for your support Carl.
