My apologies, Ken.

I attributed more to your statement:"...if there ever is a service pack released for VFP (which none is announced at this time), there will not be any new features added, it will just be a small patch." than was there. "...if there ever is a service pack released for VFP..." does not translate to 'not even in the planning stage'.

I will try to be much more careful in the future.

Again, I am sorry

Jim
>>> Ken has laid down the law on the issue. I think it is a mistake too, not only from the no new functionality issue but also in the fact that Ken is saying that no SP is even in the planning stage at this time. <<

>It is Microsoft's policy not to add new features to service packs, regardless of the fact that it has been done in the past. You are re-stating what I said incorrectly. I said that no service pack for VPF 7.0 has been announced, I never said it wasn't being planned or worked on. When you (or anyone) tries to re-state something I said in the past, it would be very helpful if you were more careful in making sure you are accurate, I'd really appreciate it, thanks.
