I bought a ticket from midwest. First they got me in the wrong flight (I found out by the email confirmation).

They reviewed the case and agreed to change me without my having to fork over the mortgage, which was nice enough.

Then as two weeks later I didn't get a confirmation email I called just to find out that the flight was cancelled.

Since none of the other flights was good for me (I'm arriving from Venezuela about 3 hours before boarding the flight for Milwaukee) they agreed to refund the full amount.

I then proceeded to buy tickets from continental (not direct flights unfortunately).

Last week I checked my credit card and the refund from midwest wasn't there, so I disputed the charge.

The following day I received a voice mail stating that my flight had been cancelled and I should call back.

I called the number in the voicemail. It was midwest to let me know that my first flight was cancelled, but since it wasn't clear at that point who I was talking to, I went balisting (it just can't be this hard to get to whilfest!).

They wanted to put me on a 3PM flight (pretty close to the continental departure), which made it QUITE confusing. Then I told the guy "But I am ALREADY leaving around 3PM!" and he said "no, you aren't".

Then I read him the flight number from continental's eticket and he said "oh, that's continental", at which point I had to ask "And I'm talking to?"

After being put on hold for 5 minutes he said that a credit was issued.

I can't wait to have a similar conversation with my credit card when they give me a credit along with midwest and I re-vert the charge dispute.

Yes, keep on top of your tickets. Especially under the circumstances.

>Just a heads up to everyone to confirm any flights for upcoming events like Whilfest. I just was doing a routine confirmation of my flight, it turns out it is leaving one hour earlier and with a different flight number. That could have caused me to miss my flight. There have been a lot of schedule changes since Sept 11th.
