Hi Ken:

>> I value feedback whether it is good/bad or right/wrong. <<

I just want to add my 2 cents as well. I think you've done a great job so far, and your presence at MSFT is very inspiring. I don't read anything into your encouragement to upgrade other than the "there's no need to wait for SP1 - we're already stable" type message. IOW, I don't see it as some panicky plea that not enough copies have been sold yet.

I have not upgraded at this point, but I intend to in the next 6 to 9 months. One reason is my primary development machine is Win95, and I will have to upgrade it first (ie, get a new machine, as upgrading the OS is not worth the effort). I work for a mfg company and business is down here, so these purchases won't get approved until business turns back up. I'm not sure how many folks are in that category, but I'm proof that there are some.

FWIW, I'm really looking forward to the intellisense features. I see the potential for productivity improvement to be a very enticing feature in a new product version.

>>My focus is not just to market VFP to the FoxPro community, but also to educate others that VFP has a strong future at Microsoft and fits well in the developer tools division (especially in MSDN subscriptions side by side with VS .NET). <<

I agree that simply trying to generate more awareness outside of the Foxpro community is the right approach, as opposed to trying to ramrod VFP sessions in a non-VFP conference and other such suggestions. VFP has come a long way in the last couple of years in overcoming the misinformation. Keep the ball rolling. I'll try to do my part, however small. I know many others will do the same.
