Look at the 1400 years of its history. It's factionalized and there are many sects that hate each other and so forth. Not very pretty I suppose.

>>Stay on topic Doug. Your point was that Islam in factionalized and that there are many sects who hate each other. The same can be said of Protestants and Catholics in N. Ireland. Or, as my Catholic friends call Protestants, Splinters (reference to Monty Python's Life of Brian). Or you can look at Bob Jones calling the Pope the Anti-Christ. The list goes on and on.

>>If your next point is going to be that these are not true Christians, I am sure a Muslim can join in and say that the Muslims you reference above are not true Muslims. Yadda, yadda, yadda.

And the Bible is nice to non-believers? Come on Doug! What did God do to his enemies? What did God do to the Egyptians to let Moses and his people go? Killed their first born didn't He? (this after he utterly failed several times after sending them locust, and other niceties).

And Christians have nice people in their ranks too! These 'so called muslims' are just a bunch of thugs and criminals. But so were many Christians. Ever hear of the Crusades? Or the Inquisition? Or burnijng young women in Europe because someone accussed them of being 'witches'? How about slavery? OK. Who will cast the first stone?
