Hi!

Are you using VFP7? VFP7 has a problem that the main application window becomes AlwaysOnTop with no reason. To rstore it to normal state, need to set AlwaysOnTop property to .T. and then back to .F. to make it NOT always on top. When you use VFP7 and main VFP window in your application, this is the most likely a source of this problem.

Another suggestion is that this could be related to the display driver, though I'm not sure becuase ToolTip is quite a Windows thing that is not related to drivers, but who knows...

HTH.

>Thinks for your kind reply, however, i think it is not an internal problem of VFP. In fact, most machine with Windows installed can display the tool tip of my executable correctly, but some just can't (very small portion though), that is why i thought there might be something wrong between VFP and Windows setting.

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
