>I need help with trying to configure a Generic Text Printer in Windows XP Pro. When I select Print Server Properties and add a new Generic Printer that would be associated with Windows 98, the systems asks me for a Generic Printer Driver from Windows 98. The problem is that they are asking for a inf file, but in Windows 98 they use drv files. All I am trying to do is create a report that will print correctly when the app is run through a win98 based computer. I hear that Win 2K and Win XP think globally when it comes to printers.

I don't think you have to do that. Just develope your report for a Generic Text Printer in Windows XP Pro. If you would have problems after that (I doubt it), take a look at the Message #561463 that shows how to make report print properly to different printers.
