The programmers here have recently been upgraded with new machines (W2K) and VFP 7.0. We have encountered few problems that we have not been able to work around, except for the problem we are experiencing with menu. None of us are able to edit a menu and then save the changes. We receive the message "path\menu.mnx is read only".

We have passed this problem on the systems group for investigation into possible network access issues, but they cannot find anything that is limiting our access to save menus.

Is there something that either Windows 2000 or VFP 7.0 needs to have set to cure this problem?

Any and all responses would be greatly appreciated. We have projects on hold due to this issue.

BTW - The applications that are causing problems, were written in 6.0. We have yet to try creating a new project in 7.0 and using the menus on a 7.0 project.
