For every EXE or shortcut, there is a compaitblity tab in its properties. There, you can actully choose which OS it runs better as. For example, running an old Win95 app on XP giving you some problems? No biggie, just click on properties>compatibility and choose Windows 95 as the OS XP should emulate while running this program. Very slick.
