I developed an extensive software application under Windows 98 that required fast printing on matrix printers. After a lot
of research I found that most windows drivers expected a graphics capable printer. The solution was to use the Generic/Text Only
printer driver. It printed faster that the standard driver (for an Epson matrix printer for example). Under Windows 98 it gave you an
option to select Custom as the size of you paper. Then you could specify 14x11 (Greenbar paper).

Now I am trying to set up the application for a customer using Windows 2000 and I can't seem to figure out out to specify a custom
size of paper no matter which type of printer I try to set up. I really need the speed of the generic printer if it can still be used.

Do I have any options besides going back to Windows 98 for this customer and how hard is that to do?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Brad
