Now, as for that particular list, that effect is caused because there is a lot or hyperlinks in it. We'll add an option in the account setup to turn on/off the hyperlinks visibility in the messages area which will be pretty much useful for the lists.

My list of private messages is not cramped, but all my other message lists are cramped ( ouch! *grin). This includes replies, and messages received since login. There is not enough vertical spacing.

It started doing this late yesterday afternoon (around the same time that the background colors of messages kept changing).
