Why not give us the entire function instead of the snippet that calls itself?
The code leading up to it being called orginally would help also.
fyi the scan...endscan loop structure will move the record pointer for you and can have a 'for' or 'while' clause. look it up in help. Using a recursion to move the pointer is a risky tactic as you have discovered. But I'll bet it works great for small orders!
