I don't call it a bug nor a feature :) Actually having it w/o displayvalue doesn't bother me (I don't remember a situation I needed that peoperty:)
I would come up with another workaround of inputting 2 chars then clearing it (then it starts to display right) but in turn I sensed I might face another situation:)
