Hi!

Use the ODBC driver for text files - open text file as ADO recordset. Then you can scan it and copy record to the Access tanle using anotehr recordset or do whatever required.

>I have encountered the following problem. I want to be able to import a comma-delimited file into an Microsoft Access database using Visual Basic and ADO. Has anyone had experience with this? I first want to confirm a text fiel exists and then import it.

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
