Probably he is. :) This site just devoted to FoxPro only. There is a sentence "Throughout these pages, I use the term "FoxPro" to mean any version prior to 3.0. FoxPro 3.0 was released in June 1995, and was renamed "Visual FoxPro" (VFP)."
In any case in ever changing programming world I don't believe you can call the life of certain product "short" if it was 10 years.
