Does MSDE come with SQL Distributed Management Objects (DMO)? They are the COM based library for accesing all things SQL Server (and presumably MSDE). You can download the SQL Server Books On-line (BOL) from http://www.microsoft.com/sql/techinfo/productdoc/2000/books.asp. If SXQLDMO is installed, you can get some greate examples of how to use it from the BOL.
