Then the 3rd party's app will install the correct version during its install routine, not me, and at least it won't get updated automatically from MSFT (like the OS) or someplace else. Regardless, unless you control the updating of the runtime files when you install or update your app, there is no control. Of course, I could be that 3rd party at sometime though too, couldn't I? Then I would be the one overwriting the runtime... I prefer they go into the application's directory and not in the OS system directory :0)
