I don't know if you can show a very representive progess bar doing that, but you can do what IE does and just start a progress bar that is designed to got for 10 seconds or so.

Then, that last paramter of the Open() method, set that to .T. and you'll run the request async. You can then start to move the status bar, and keep watching the status property of the control to see when it finishes.

YOu might also want to check out wwIPStuff by Rick, I know that his FTP control allows for a progress bar, but I'm not sure if its possible for HTTP.
