In Filter, put ? before the variable. e.g.
clientno = ?sClientNo
clientno like ?thisform.sClientNo

>Can anyone tell me how to pass a variable to a view so that i can filter the view on in. I am try to put it in the filter section of the view but it is recognising it as a string not a variable. Is there any syntax i can use so that the sql recongise it as a filter variable not a string. Thanks.
