You're right Doron, it didn't occur to me that the images could be used in the background, but then I was thinking about images placed and intermingled with the content of the page (you can't do that with the page's background unless you know the precise configuration of your target machine down to the fonts they're using).

BTW, I tried with word97 and all I got was html of the text. No border in it.

The only way for you to have some control over the placement of these background images will be to set them as the backgrounds of tables with a single cell, and then place your tables with data within those other tables.

Otherwise you're likely to go nuts because layout control is very quirky in html.

>>HI Doron,
>>
>>Can't imagine why you would need circles and boxes in an html report. If you're thinking of creating a gif with a box in order to place it around existing text, it won't work. Can't do that in html. You would need to use several lines and a table to achieve this effect.
>>
>>However, to get away with lines (and with boxes around text by joining four lines), you could create a single-pixel gif and stretch it horizontally or vertically via html code to get lines of any length you may want.
