>When my program goes to merge in excel I am getting the user message from excel that the cells contain multiple values am I sure I want to merge? Prior to this I set my range to each one and set the value="" so I can try to avoid this from happening since I am putting my value in after the merge. Is there anyway I can avoid this from happening that I am not aware of?

Todd,
Turn of alerting before you merge and you don't need to emty cells (only upper left would be kept).
OExcel.DisplayAlerts=.f.
